We are working people rising up to stop the billionaire takeover–not just through the ballot box or the courts\, but through building a bigger and stronger movement. We are growing our movement and fighting for a country that is more fair\, just\, equitable\, and free for all of us—and not just a chosen few. \nOn September 1st we will continue the movement we launched together on May 1st\, standing in solidarity with all our communities under attack and fighting for real wins for all our people. \nThousands of communities across the country are taking a stand on Labor Day\, join us! Labor Day is an acknowledgment that workers made this country what it is today\, and workers deserve freedom\, fairness\, and security. The Charlotte Labor Day Parade is a genuine Labor Day parade\, put on by organized Labor honoring American Labor on Labor Day. \nOrganized by the Labor Day Committee in conjunction with the Charlotte-Metrolina Labor Council and other local labor unions\, the parade honors the accomplishments of organized labor in our country\, our region\, and in our community. \nThe parade will begin at 11 a.m. and will run down North Tryon Street from 9th Street through the Square\, turning on 3rd Street and ending. \nCome on out for “an old-fashioned parade – union-made”!
