DESCRIPTION:The SAVE Act is a Republican bill currently working its way through Congress that would require all US voters to register using their passport or birth certificate (and if your name has changed because of marriage or another reason a birth certificate will not suffice.) It would disenfranchise at least half of American voters. We’re tabling at the Farmers’ Market to ask voters to call Senator Thom Tillis right there on the spot to tell him to vote no on this attack on the right to vote. Lots of people make the call! \nOf course we will also register voters while we are there. \nTraining provided. Meet at the corner of Hunt St and Foster St where we will have a table with a Durham Dems banner.
