Registration Repair 2.0 Postcard Writing

September 13 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

In July, we mailed over 1,000 letters—and we’re doing it again! This September, we’re coming together to write letters to North Carolina voters whose registrations may be at risk. These voters could be denied a regular ballot if their information isn’t corrected by October 10th. We will supply the letters, envelopes, pens and return address labels. Please bring first class letter stamps if you can.

Why This Matters

The North Carolina State Board of Elections requires voter registrations to include either a driver’s license number or the last four digits of the Social Security number. Even a small mismatch—like a typo—can flag a registration as “incomplete.” That means the voter will be forced to vote provisionally, which can increase the risk of their vote not being counted. Right now, over 100,000 North Carolinians have registrations flagged as incomplete—including 10,000 in Wake County alone.

Let’s make sure they know how to fix it before it’s too late. Join us September 13th—your letters make a difference!

We just ask that you bring 25 first class stamps and we will provide the rest.
