3,012,000 children and adults are enrolled in North Carolina Medicaid and 1,415,600 North Carolina residents, or 13% of the state population, rely on SNAP benefits. Cutting essential programs to fund tax cuts for billionaires is only “beautiful” for the rich people who would get to keep their pretty pennies in their pockets.
