Join us on August 23, we will gather in downtown Greensboro dressed in black, not in celebration – but in mourning. This solemn protest, led by concerned citizens across North Carolina, is a funeral march for our Constitution – the foundational document Senator Thom Tillis continues to undermine and nullify, piece by piece. As we carry a symbolic coffin through the streets, accompanied by the haunting sound of a lone bagpipe, we will grieve the erosion of civil liberties, voting rights, and democratic norms. This is not a spectacle. This is a eulogy – for fairness, for accountability, and for a government of the people.
With peaceful resolve and powerful symbolism, we will honor what has been lost and demand better from those elected to serve us. We mourn, we march, and we resist – because democracy should not die in silence.
