We Will Protect Our Vote: “20 on the 20th” Rally for Early Voting in Raleigh
Join voting rights advocates and impacted community and campus voters on August 20, to show support for good early voting options as the State Board of Elections meets to decide the fate of Fall 2026 early voting plans for the 20 North Carolina counties* where local elections boards could not agree on sites and/or hours.

⏰ Meet at 8:00AM; State Board Meeting begins at 9:00AM
📍 Meet on Halifax Mall (grounds outside of the State Board of Elections Office in the Dobbs Building at 430 N Salisbury St, Raleigh, NC 27603)
☔️ Rain Plan: For those unable to attend the State Board meeting in-person due to space considerations, attendees can watch the meeting live from the Legislative Office Building (300 N Salisbury St, Raleigh, NC 27603).
NOTE: A limited number of voters will be allowed inside the State Board of Elections’s day-long early voting meeting and overflow room. This event offers community, campus, and county members interested in following the action and speaking out in support of strong early voting with various locations to follow the action, including Halifax Mall as a rallying point throughout the day and the Legislative Office Building where voters can watch the meeting stream live. Attendees will also have the opportunity to join community, campus, and county elections members for a rally and press event in response to the State Board’s decisions at the meeting’s midday break and following the meeting.
*Amid state-level meddling in early voting planning, this is our last chance this year to make the case for the best plans for ourselves and our neighbors in Anson, Chatham, Columbus, Craven, Cumberland, Granville, Greene, Guilford, Harnett, Jackson, Lee, Lenoir, Nash, Pasquotank, Pitt, Rockingham, Rowan, Scotland, Union, and Wayne Counties.
