At a time when too many people are underemployed and do not have enough resources to reach their full potential, we must go beyond diagnosing economic conditions and work towards creating a state where everyone can thrive. This year’s Economy for All event will focus on the role of work and workers in building a more equitable economy in North Carolina — and on what it takes to create and sustain “good jobs” across our state.
We are honored that Darrick Hamilton, considered one of the nation’s foremost scholars, economists and public intellectuals, will join us to share a vision for the economy that centers well-being over profits. Together, we will imagine how North Carolina can create economic rules that keep costs affordable for all and creates a foundation for a just economic future.
